Llandudno striker Toby Jones believes goal had been “coming”
Llandudno’s Toby Jones scored his first goal of the season as he helped his side pick up their first away win of the season.
The 26 year-old scored mid-way through the second half to help his side move up to eighth in the table and feels “happy” to be coming away from Cardiff Met with victory.

“It’s been coming for myself. I need to score more goals in the league but more importantly for the team I got the three points in a very difficult place to come to be fair.
He said “So, we are going to take that home and we are happy.”
Jones hopes that he can score “more goals” for his side this season and that his goal is one of many to come this season.
“Just more goals, I think obviously a little more on what I was about with that goal, maybe striking the ball more often and staying consistent,” Jones added, “so, for myself it’s about staying consistent and adding goals to my game.”
“Credit to Cardiff Met they are a great team, they are young fit and fast and they did have some good patches in the game.”
“But at the end of the day it is us going with the three points and we will take care of that and take it into next week.”
After a busy summer transfer window, The Seasiders have bought in Kai Edwards and Mike Pearson from last season’s Welsh Cup winners and the forward thinks that the club have the best defenders in the league, while Shaun Pearson recorded his fourth clean sheet of the campaign.
“They were at Connah’s Quay Nomads last season who probably had the best defensive record with TNS and you know Mike being a local boy and Kai from Prestatyn it’s good for the local community.
“They are definitely up there with two of the best Centre halves in this league. Shaun’s been fantastic since he’s come in, he’s kept us in some games and It’s so important that we all stay on top of our game and keep it going.
“Fitness is very important in this league and it’s important to keep going, keep our heads high and hopefully a goal will come and today it did. So yeah three points and we will look forward to next week.”
