Port Talbot Town add to their squad with signing of USW duo
Welsh Football League Division One side Port Talbot Town have added to their squad, with the signings of duo Charlie Fripp and Joel Whittingham.
Both players play football on Wednesday afternoons for the University of South Wales, who play in the various BUCS Leagues.
The pair have both been on the books of professional clubs in their careers. Fripp has previous playing experience in the academy of Yeovil Town, while Whittingham was involved in the youth set up at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In a statement on porttalbottown.co.uk, Steelmen manager Mark Pike said: ““These are two talented young lads that learnt their trade at two well respected clubs in Wolves and Yeovil Town.
Both of these players will add quality to this developing squad and we’re already looking forward to seeing them both play in the blue shirts of Port Talbot Town.”
Fripp made his debut for the club last weekend, coming on as a substitute in Port Talbot’s 5-0 defeat to Cambrian & Clydach Vale BGC in the first round of the JD Welsh Cup.
