Pontypridd Town will face a further wait to play their first home game of the season.
Tomorrow’s game against Llantwit Major has been postponed, as Ponty continue to play away from home.
The Dragons moved to Cardiff, as they obtained the Tier One Licence on the basis of the Division One side playing at Leckwith Stadium.
Llantwit Major tweeted: “Our first team fixture tomorrow against @PontyTownAFC, unfortunately, will not be going ahead.”
The move to Leckwith Stadium was the third move the club has made in three years, having played at the USW Sport Park and Ynysangharad Park.
The Cardiff International Campus released a statement last week saying: ” Due to necessary maintenance and developments, our track & field facilities at Cardiff International Sports Campus are currently out of use to the public.
Bringing Cardiff City House of Sport facilities up to Premier League football standards, the inner pitch will be relayed with a new GrassMaster pitch, identical to Cardiff City Stadium and other Premier League clubs.
Due to recent bad weather conditions, particularly Storm Callum, work on the brand new athletics track has been delayed.
We’ll be announcing an accurate re-opening date as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.”
Pontypridd are currently bottom of Division One having won just one game this season. Pontypridd’s final home game was in May, when they beat Ammanford, after securing promotion to Division One.
They are next scheduled to play at the Leckwith Stadium on November 10th, against fellow Division One side Goytre in Round Two of the JD Welsh Cup. The next scheduled league fixture is on November 17th.
Cardiff City FC’s Women’s team fixture, will be played on the external pitch at Leckwith.
