LIVE: Cardiff Metropolitan v Haverfordwest County – Nathaniel MG Cup

Cardiff Metropolitan and Haverfordwest County do battle at Cyncoed Campus, for a place in the semi-finals of the Nathaniel MG Cup.

The two did battle for promotion in the 14/15 season when Haverfordwest County pipped the students to the second spot after Caerau Ely won the Division One title.

The victor will go into a non-regionalised draw for the semi-final, with the potential of playing Bala Town, Cambrian BGC, Connah’s Quay, Newtown and The New Saints.

The Met reached the final of the competition last season, narrowly losing to The New Saints at Park Avenue. They’ve beaten Carmarthen Town, to reach the Quarter-Final stage, after earning a bye in Round One.

Haverfordwest beat Goytre United to reach this stage, having beaten Welsh Premier League side Llanelli Town in Round One. Bluebirds midfielder Elliot Scotcher is a former midfielder at Cyncoed Campus before he moved to Merthyr Town.
