Bangor City appoint Gary Taylor-Fletcher as new First Team Manager
Blackpool legend Gary Taylor-Fletcher has been appointed as manager of Cymru Alliance side Bangor City.
Stephen Vaughan Jnr had been in temporary charge of the club but left to take up an assistant manager role at Maltese side Mosta. The club confirmed that
Taylor-Fletcher left the club in the summer following the clubs relegation and the departure of Kevin Nicholson. He returns having had a brief playing spell with Llandudno where he scored two goals on his debut.
The 37-year-old said to BangorCityFC.co.uk: “I am delighted to be back as manager of Bangor. I am really looking forward to the challenge and to keep the hard work that Ste & Luke have been doing over the last month going.
“I will be giving it my all once again to ensure that we are prepared as a team for every game and I will also be back on the pitch if and when I am needed.”
The experienced Football League forward previously managed the Citizens in a caretaker period, where he guided them to a Europa League Play-Off Final win over Cardiff Metropolitan in 2017.
He will take charge of Bangor City’s game against promotion rivals Rhyl this Friday. The Citizens are on a six-game winning run and haven’t lost since the 8th September to Airbus Broughton.
Fletcher said : “The team are on an excellent run of form and we look forward to our trip to Rhyl on Friday”.
