Cambrian & Clydach Vale confirm signing of Danish defender Rysgaard

Cambrian & Clydach have confirmed the signing of Danish defender Patrick Rysgaard after being granted international clearance.

Rysgaard who plays as a centre-back had recently been training in the BUCS University Leagues for the University of South Wales.

Having previously been on the books of Belgian side Tempo Overijse, the Dane will juggle playing for the Nathaniel MG Cup finalists, alongside his ambitions of becoming a chiropractor.

Rysgaard said: “I’m really looking forward to gaining some football experience here in Wales.

The team took really good care of me and it’s a nice bunch of lads from the players to the whole staff, I’m ready to represent the Cam Army.”

Manager Dane Williams commented about the addition of Rysgaard to his first-team squad.

“He’s shown promising signs in training and we are looking forward to being part of his development.

He has good height and technical ability. For a young man, He’s fitted in well showing all the signs needed to step up to this level!”

Rysgaard could make his debut in the Rhondda Derby this Friday when Cambrian & Clydach Vale travel to Ton Pentre in the Welsh Football League Division One.
