Aberystwyth Town manager Neville Powell and Caernarfon Town captain Nathan Craig have been awarded the JD Welsh Premier League Manager and Player of the Month awards for November.
Powell’s Seasiders won three of their four games in November, including a memorable victory over reigning champions The New Saints.
The Ceredigion-based side finished the month in fifth place, only six points behind leaders Connah’s Quay Nomads.
The Green and Whites were the only side in the top flight to go unbeaten in November, and have not tasted defeat since the beginning of October; when they lost 1-0 to Cefn Druids.
Utility player Craig netted five times in November for the Cofis, who sit two points behind Newtown in seventh.
Sean Eardley’s team were unbeaten in three of their four matches during last month, the only defeat coming in a 4-3 reverse away to Carmarthen Town at the start of the month.
The highlight of the month came when the Canaries secured an unforgettable 1-0 win away at The New Saints, courtesy of a goal from skipper Craig four minutes from time.
Powell and Craig’s team’s will meet each other on Friday evening at The Oval, where a win for the hosts could see them move into the top six – as the end of Phase One draws ever closer.
If the Seasiders come out victorious, they could end the night as high as third – should results go their way.
