RECAP: Pontypridd Town v Penybont – Welsh Football League

Pontypridd hosts an unbeaten Penybont side at Leckwith Stadium for the Dragons final home game of 2018.

The hosts go into the game having suffered a heavy defeat to promotion hopefuls Haverfordwest County. They welcome Penybont who are yet to lose in the Welsh League this season.

Penybont will be high on confidence following their narrow victory over local rivals Llantwit Major on Saturday, with Marcus Griffiths scoring the all-important goal at the KYMCO Stadium.

Rhys Griffiths’ side can guarantee a Christmas Number One this evening if they defeat Pontypridd, who are currently second from bottom.

The Bridgend based side would open up a five-point gap over nearest placed Afan Lido, as well as having two games in hand over the Port Talbot club.
