Llandudno complete signing of experienced Welsh Premier League attacker Wade

Llandudno have signed experienced Welsh Premier League winger Ryan Wade.

The 30-year-old had recently been playing for Marine AFC in the Northern Premier League after leaving Aberystwyth Town but has made a return to the Welsh top flight.

Wade who can play across the midfield joins Llandudno will have to wait for international clearance, before being allowed to play for the Seasiders.

Speaking to LlandudnoFC.co.uk, Wade said:

“I’m excited about joining, Llandudno is a big club and I’ve been in this league for a while and they’ve always been a tough game whenever I’ve played against them.

“I want to keep us in the league, a club like this shouldn’t be in the situation they are in and after speaking to the gaffer and the players who he is looking on signing, I’m confident we can be fine.

“I’m sure I will help the team out, I have got a lot experience in this league and have done it at the top clubs and this is no different. I’ll give my best and make sure the club gets back to where it should be.”

The former Northwich Victoria attacker has over 150 appearances in the JD Welsh Premier League, with 128 starts. He has scored 29 goals in the Welsh top flight.

Wade was a Welsh Premier League runner-up two times, as well as experiencing Welsh Cup glory with Bala Town in 2016/2017. He was a losing Welsh Cup finalist with Aberystwyth Town last season.

Llandudno boss Iwan Williams also spoke to LlandudnoFC.co.uk, after signing Wade.

“He has trained with us and you can see his qualities. He has a bite about him and there’s no denying that our goal record is poor this season and has probably been the story of our season.

“Ryan will definitely add value in the final third and is not a player who lacks confidence whatsoever. He’s already integrated with the squad and is keen to get going as soon as possible.”

Llandudno make their second trip to The Oval in a week tomorrow after the original fixture scheduled for Boxing Day was abandoned due to a power cut in Caernarfon.
