Druids announce Gossett arrival on loan
Cefn Druids have announced that they have secured the services of Bala Town midfielder Danny Gossett on loan for the rest of the season.
The tenacious midfielder had joined the Lakesiders this summer, after departing Bangor City this summer.
However, he has now agreed a temporary switch to the Ancients for the rest of the 2018-19 season.
The Wales C international had been an influential figure in the Bangor side during his two years at the club.
Commenting on the move, the midfielder said: “I’m really looking forward for the challenge. I can’t wait to get started for Druids and try to finish the season as high up the table as possible.”
He joined the Citizens after making ten appearances for The New Saints, having joined them from Rhyl back in 2015-16.
He made 54 league appearances for Bangor , as they secured 2nd spot in the JD Welsh Premier League last season.
But Bangor were demoted from the top flight last summer after failing to secure a licence, and the 24 year-old linked up with Bala Town.
Colin Caton’s men currently sit in 6th place, just three points of Caernarfon Town in fourth place.
But now Huw Griffiths has secured the midfielder on loan to help his side as they attempt to steer themselves away from the drop zone.
There’s a six point gap between Llanelli in 11th and Druids in 10th, but the signing of Gossett will add greater depth to the Druids squad ahead of the final nine games of the season.
