Trethomas Bluebirds boss Andrew Diggle to stand down from management role

Trethomas Bluebirds manager Andrew Diggle is to stand down from his role at the end of the season.

The Bluebirds boss is to leave his role due to work and family commitments, with the decision taken in November, having notified the clubs, Chairman.

Diggle will remain with the club but in a different role, as Trethomas will now look to change the management structure within the club.

He released a statement saying: “I have decided to step down as manager at the end of the season.

“It’s purely down to work and family commitments but also in order to support the club progress on and off the field.

“A new management structure will be announced in due course which I will be facilitating to ensure the right people are in place.

“It’s an exciting time for the club and I look forward to being part of that journey with some really good people at the club. The players have been amazing and I would like to thank each and everyone for their support.”

Diggle will now oversee the process of identifying a new manager to take over from him.

Trethomas Bluebirds’ last scheduled fixture is at home on the 20th April to Ynysygerwn.

They are currently fourth in the division, four points off of second place Penrhiwceiber Rangers, who occupy the second promotion spot in Division Two.
