Airbus to continue sponsorship of Airbus UK Broughton
Aeroplane manufacturer Airbus are to continue their sponsorship of Cymru Alliance champions Airbus UK Broughton.
Airbus have extended their sponsorship of the club for a further three years, which will support the youth football academy, ladies team and developmental programmes.
Club chairman Michael Mayfield has expressed his desire for the club to return to European football after a two-year exile from the top flight of Welsh football.
“We understand the power that football has in bringing people together and making a difference in the community.” said club chairman Michael Mayfield to Deeside.com.
“Our aim is to continue to grow the club’s members from grassroots to European football and give children and adults the opportunity to develop into the best players they can become.
“Of course, we would not have been able to make, and continue to make, a real and positive impact on the lives of the many people in the local area – both young and old – without the support and dedication of Airbus to engage with us and bring the community closer as part of our family.”
The Wingmakers were crowned champions of the Cymru Alliance last week after a victory over Holywell Town.
They now await the outcome of their Tier One Licence application.
