Lee Challenger stands down as Cwmbran Celtic manager
Cwmbran Celtic’s Lee Challenger has stood down as manager of the Welsh League club.
Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Celtic Park to Cwmamman United was Challenger’s last game in charge of the Celtic.
He had been at the club previously as a player, before moving into management.
Challenger took over from Dean Morris in 2017 and guided Celtic to a 6th placed finish last season.
Forward Josh Bull tweeted: “Devastated with the news one of my best friends has decided to step down.
“I can’t knock his commitment and desire. The job he’s done fills me with pride in how he matured from a player into a top manager.”
It is unclear whether he will continue in his role as Gwent FA manager, alongside Nana Baah.
