Nicky Morgan has been appointed as the new manager of Cwmbran Celtic.
Morgan leaves his role at Monmouth Town to lead Celtic in the inaugural FAW Championship South. Taking over from Owen Cook, who was placed in temporary charge after the departures of manager Lee Challenger and assistant Nana Baah.
Former Caerleon manager and Caldicot Town assistant Simon Truman has joined his coaching setup, alongside Simon Prangley who returns to Celtic Park, following a spell away with Bradford Town.
Ex-Celtic boss Lee Challenger has since been appointed the manager of Gwent County League side Blaenavon Blues.
Former Newport County coach Morgan had a year in charge of the Kingfishers before moving to Celtic Park.
He guided them to a 6th place finish in Division Two after their relegation to the third tier of Welsh football last season.
Having had his playing career shut short after spells with Albion Rovers, Llanwern, Clevedon Town and Inter Cardiff, Morgan moved into a coaching career.
Taking up roles with Chepstow Town, Newport Corinthians and Newport YMCA.
Morgan was previously a part of the match day coaching staff at Newport County, working alongside manager Michael Flynn, before coaching their academy.
Already possessing the C and B Licence, Morgan has aims to obtain the A Licence.
His coaching staff is expected to be announced in the next week.
