Welsh Football League club help prepare Newport County for the playoff final

Welsh League Division One side Undy Athletic have helped Newport County in their preparations for their League Two playoff final.

Newport are preparing for their playoff final after dramatically beating Mansfield Town on penalties on Sunday.

With their usual Newport Stadium base out of use, they have sought help with Cardiff City. But one of Flynn’s former clubs has also offered their support to Newport County.

The Exiles are scheduled to return to The Causeway in July in a pre-season friendly, for what has been a consistent fixture since Flynn’s appointment as County boss.

Flynn is a former player of Undy Athletic and was previously the manager of the Magor based club before moving back to Newport County.

The Causeway has gone through a major refurbishment over the last year. In February a 250 seater stand was unveiled by Newport East MP Jessica Morden.

Newport take on Tranmere Rovers at Wembley Stadium on the 25th May.
