Ryan Giggs names Wales squad for Croatia and Hungary matches

Ryan Giggs has named a 28-man squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Croatia and Hungary.

Wales have two away fixtures against Croatia on the 8th of June and Hungary three days later on the 11th.

Having been with Giggs for a number of weeks now, the Wales boss has selected his final squad having had a training squad in the algarve.

Four uncapped players are included in the squad. Ben Woodburn who missed the training squad due to his involvement in the Champions League final is included.

Harry Wilson, Neil Taylor Tom Lawrence also missed the camp but are included after Villa’s play-off final victory over Derby County.

Aaron Ramsey misses out due to an injury, as well as Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies who has an ongoing injury. 

Ampadu is back in the squad having had a back injury. 

Barnsley have three players included in the squad including the uncapped Ben Williams and Kieffer Moore, who were two of seven new faces in the training squad.

Manchester United youngster Dylan Levitt is also in the squad, as well as Swansea City’s Joe Rodon. James Chester misses out. 

Kieffer Moore has scored 19 goals in 35 appearances for his club Barnsley last season and qualifies via his grandfather who was born in Llanrug.

Moore, a left-back for Barnsley made 11 outings for the Tykes and qualifies through a grandfather who was born in St Asaph. He’ll potentially provide cover for Neil Taylor.
