Undy unveil new-look management team ahead of 2019/20 season
Undy Athletic have unveiled their new-look management team, with Mark Crook and Lee Relish arriving to replace the departing Jason Pritchard and Dave Littlemore.
The Monmouthshire side finished 12th in the Welsh Football League Division One last season, after achieving promotion to the League’s tip flight in the 2015/16 campaign.
The club have moved quickly to appoint successors, after yesterday announcing the departure of Pritchard and Littlemore, saying “we wish them well in the future”.
A statement on the club’s Twitter account read: “Undy AFC, as part of its reorganisation, are pleased to announce the management team of Mark Crook and Lee Relish for season 2019/20.”
Crook returns to the management team five years after stepping down and moving into a Director of Football role to make way for now-Newport County manager Michael Flynn.
Prior to this season, Undy recorded finishes of seventh and ninth in Division One.
The Causeway outfit have good memories of Crook’s first spell in charge of the club.
Under his guidance, they achieved promotion to the Welsh Football League in the 2010/11 season, finishing first in the Gwent County League Division One – winning 19 of their 28 league games.
They secured back-to-back promotions after topping the third tier of the Welsh Football League in their first season, and now Crook returns looking to continue with the strong foundations he built during his first spell.
