Jordan Lam returns to Met as Mael Davies joins

Jordan Lam has returned to Cardiff Metropolitan alongside new signing Male Davies.

Lam, 24, is back at Cyncoed Campus, having left the Students last summer to join Hereford and then Bristol Manor Farm.

He is joined by Mael Davies, who joins from fellow Welsh Premier League side Carmarthen Town.

The pace winger was an established member of Cardiff Met’s squad and was a key figure in their first season in the Welsh Premier League. His performances earned him a trial period at English Football League side Newport County.

Lam has been training with the Met since February.

Davies joins the Met having joined Carmarthen Town last season. With one year of top flight football under his belt, he has moved to the capital to further his career.

The 20-year-old was on the books of Cardiff City up until Under-16s level. He later moved on to Swansea’s academy where he spent three years, signing his first professional contract.

A former Wales Under 17 and Under 19 international, Davies is a FAW Youth Cup winner with Swansea City.

Mael’s position is predominantly a center-midfielder, however, he can also play at right-back.

The Met have also received a boost that Charlie Corsby is nearing full fitness, having trained all week. Corsby could be available for the Europa League games.
