Alec Mudimu named in Zimbabwe’s Cup of Nations squad
Cefn Druids’ Alec Mudimu has been named in Zimbabwe’s African Cup of Nations squad.
Having been named in the provisional squad in May, Mudimu has made the cut in the 23-man squad.
The 24-year-old was called up to international duty last year and has regularly featured since his international debut last season.
Mudimu, who plays as a midfielder for the Druids, was named as a defender for The Warriors.
He was part of the Zimbabwe side which finished third in this season’s COSAFA Cup, having won it the last two seasons.

Zimbabwe will be playing in their second consecutive Cup of Nations, having not qualified for the 2008 and 2015 edition.
They will take on Mohamed Salah’s Egypt in their opening game on the 21st June, whilst also facing off against DR Congo (30th June) and Uganda (26th June).
They are 10th favourites to win the competition at 100/1. Hosts Egypt are the firm favourites at 4/1.
