Tom Holland departs Park Hall after rejecting contract

Tom Holland has rejected a contract offer from The New Saints.

Holland was one of the players who were out of contract at the end of the season and has since rejected a new deal at Park Hall.

Holland was absent in The New Saints’ Welsh Cup victory over the Connah’s Quay Nomads back in May.

Back in May, Scott Ruscoe revealed to the Advertiser that one new player had already signed, but was hopeful of keeping Holland.

“We’ve signed a player – he came in at the end of last week and most of the people who needed tying down to a new contract have been

“I don’t know if Tom is going to one of those 20/21. He’s still up for discussion on the terms of his contract.

“But I hope so because Tom has been magnificent for us this season – he’s had two brilliant seasons for us and I would like him to stay and be part of this football club.”

22-year-hold Holland joined from Swansea City’s Under-23s side. Last season he missed just three games of the League season. He was present in all of their European fixtures.

He was nominated for the Welsh Premier League Young Player of the Season but lost out to Barry Town United loanee Momodou Touray.

During his two seasons with the Oswestry club, he won two Welsh Premier League titles, a JD Welsh Cup and a Nathaniel MG Cup.

Staying at Park Hall though will be Golden Boot winner Greg Draper who committed to a new two-year deal back in May. Chris Craven, Harry Bower, Lewis Dutton and Liam Parry have all signed their first professional contracts with the club.
