Welsh Premier League fixtures 2019/20: All you need to know ahead of new season
The JD Welsh Premier League 2019/20 has announced its fixtures for the 2019/20 Phase One season this afternoon.
The campaign will kick off with a action packed evening on Friday 16 August, when 10 teams will start their season under the floodlights.

The New Saints v Connah’s Quay Nomads
New boys Penybont face fellow South Walian outfit Barry Town United at the KYMCO Stadium, with Airbus UK returning to the top flight with a home game against Bala Town.
This season marks the return of an August Bank Holiday double header, as there will be full fixture cards on Friday 23 August and the following Bank Holiday Monday 26 August.
The Friday night fixtures include Bala Town v TNS, Caernarfon Town v Connah’s Quay Nomads, and Penybont again playing at home against Cardiff Met.
On August Bank Holiday Monday, Penybont will embark on their first away trip of the campaign to Newtown’s Latham Park, whilst The New Saints and Airbus will head to Aberystwyth and Cardiff Met respectively.
The festive fixtures again set up a number of derby clashes, as all teams will play their closest compatriot on Boxing Day and either New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.
This means that on Boxing Day, Barry Town face Cardiff Met, Cefn Druids entertain Airbus, and Connah’s Quay Nomads renew their rivalry with Airbus UK before the fixtures reverse in the New Year.
Key dates in the 2019/20 season
The new season is scheduled to start on Friday August 16th and Phase One will conclude on Friday 17th January 2020.
Bank holiday fixtures have returned to the Welsh Premier League and will take place in August.
The European Playoffs will again close the season, with the final due to be played on the weekend of 16/17 May 2020.
Although the JD Welsh Premier kicks off in the third week of August, there will be football from the start of the month, with the Nathaniel MG Cup first round commencing on 2/3/4 August and the second round being held on 9/10/11 August.
The Nathaniel MG Cup Final on 1st February.
The European Playoffs will again close the season, with the final due to be played on the weekend of 16/17 May 2020.
