Goytre appoint Eston Chiverton as new first-team manager

Goytre have appointed Eston Chiverton as their new first team manager.

Chiverton has taken over from Sean Wharton, following the clubs relegation to the Welsh Football League Division One.

The 47-year-old was promoted to the most senior role at the club, having previously worked alongside Wharton.

He will be assisted by Glyn Garner, who moves from Taffs Well, to become assistant manager at Plough Road. Jack David, a UEFA A Licence coach, will work as his First Team Coach.

Chiverton’s playing career saw him play for clubs like Bath City, Cardiff Metropolitan, Cwmbran Town, Ebbw Vale, Haverfordwest County, and Newport County.

Following Chiverton’s appointment as manager, the Gwent club have been able to retain the services of captain Kris Leek.

Joining Leek at the club are Alex Evans, Ben Evans, Finlay Ryan-Phillips,Gary Colborne, Jacob Howell,Joshua Pitt, KJ Mwedzo, Luke Fernques and Soloman Lowe.

League fixtures are expected to be announced this week. Their only confirmed competitive fixture for next season is a home tie against Garden Village in the Welsh Football League Cup on the 24th August.
