In what will be the largest competed League Cup, following its expansion to 46 teams, the MG Cup has gone through a number of structural changes.
The winner of the competition will qualify for the Scottish Challenge Cup.
Last season, Cardiff Metropolitan won their first League Cup against FAW Championship South side Cambrian & Clydach Vale.
