New Saints to face Copenhagen after beating tricky Feronikeli

The New Saints will play Danish champions Copenhagen after navigating past KF Feronikeli.

Dean Ebbe’s 67th-minute header put TNS through to Round Two as Feronikeli failed to reply.

Scott Ruscoe’s side had it to do after conceding two late goals in the first leg, having had a two-goal lead.

However, the Welsh Premier League champions showed their nerve, riding an early storm from the Kosovan champions, as Dean Ebbe headed in from Simon Spender’s cross, securing a vital away victory in Pristina.

The result means that The New Saints are at least guaranteed a Europa League Round Three qualifier, should they be knocked out by Copenhagen.

They’ve now accumulated £596k from this season’s campaign. Should they lose to Copenhagen, they would earn £940,000.
