It was a memorable night for Connah’s Quay as they knocked Kilmarnock out of the Europa League.

Andy Morrison’s men went into the game with a 2-1 deficit, having conceded two away goals but bounced back to progress to the next round.

The Deeside club will now play Serbian side Partizan Belgrade in Round Two of the Europa League

A brace from Callum Morris, including a late penalty with ten minutes remaining, put the Nomads on their way to victory.

Stuart Findlay had been sent off before the penalty for the hosts, before Ryan Wignall was shown a second yellow card, making it ten men apiece.

The Scottish Premier League side were humiliated by the Nomads, as Angelo Alessio tasted his first competitive defeat as Killie boss. Connah’s Quay were 20/1 to qualify before kick-off. Kilmarnock were 1/200.

The home supporters showed their displeasure as boos rang around Rugby Park.

The Welsh Premier League runners-up will host the Serbian side next week with the venue yet to be announced, before traveling to 32,000 seated Partizan Stadium.
