Harry Wilson could feature more at Liverpool if a summer move fails to materialise.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Derby County but the Reds have ruled out another loan this season.
New boys Aston Villa and Newcastle United are interested, but they will have to pay the £20m price tag that Liverpool have reportedly slapped on the Wales international.
The Daily Mirror reports that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has given Wilson assurances over more playing time at Anfield, should his future remain on Merseyside.

Jurgen Klopp rates the Wales international highly and he could find himself in a more prominent role with the six-time Champions League winners.
Wilson has been on Liverpool’s pre-season tour in the United States and was on the scoresheet in the Reds’ 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
Last season he scored 18 goals in 49 appearances at Derby County.

If Wilson was to move to either Aston Villa or Newcastle, then the clubs have just two weeks to conclude the deal, with the transfer window to shut before the season opener on the 9th August.
