Llandudno midfielder Telor Williams on trial with Leicester City
Young Llandudno midfielder Telor Williams is on trial with Leicester City.
The 17-year-old has been on trial with the Foxes for the last month.
Having joined the Seasiders from Caernarfon Town last year, Williams made ten senior appearances for Llandudno in the Cymru Premier last season.
Last week he featured in a friendly with Jersey Bulls, as part of Leicester’s pre-season training.
Before starting his trial, Williams tweeted: “Good Start to the pre-season . Looking forward for the rest of it now.”
Williams has represented Wales at Under-18 level.
He could be the second Wales youth international to join Leicester this summer.
Mitch Clarke was released by Aston Villa last month and joined the Foxes recently.
Clarke had interest from Port Vale, a club where he spent time on loan at least season, but manager John Askey revealed he had signed for Leicester.
“I have been told that he has signed for Leicester,” manager John Askey told Stoke Sentinel.
“I think if he goes to Leicester then I don’t think they will loan him out until January anyway. You get to a stage where you just move on and hopefully, we can get somebody in better.”
