Telegraph Sport say that Madrid wants a transfer fee for the 30-year-old.

Florentino Perez is blocking the deal as he doesn’t want to allow Bale to leave on the cheap, having cost them a then world-record fee of £85 million in 2013.

The Daily Express posted yesterday that Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez had doubts over the deal, following Real’s 7-3 thumping to City rivals Atletico Madrid.

Bale has appeared for Madrid off the bench in their last two International Champions Cup matches, scoring against Arsenal.

The former Spurs-man has appeared for Madrid off the bench in their last two International Champions Cup matches, scoring against Arsenal.

Last week, Zidane spoke of his desire to see Bale leaves as he embarks on his second tenure as Real Madrid manager.

“We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team.

“I have nothing personal against him, but there comes a time where things are done because they must be done.

“I have to make decisions. We have to change.

“The exit is the coach’s decision, and also of the player, who knows the situation.

“The situation will change, I do not know if in 24 or 48 hours, but it will – and it’s a good thing for everyone.”

The transfer window in China shuts next Wednesday, leaving just three days for the deal to be resurrected.
