Newtown have loaned Shrewsbury Town forward Lifumpa Mwandwe.
Mwandwe joins the Robins on a six-month loan deal.
The 18-year-old works closely with Newtown assistant Callum McKenzie, who rates the young forward highly.
In October 2018, the London-born striker signed his first professional contract and has been around the first team. Mwandwe had been on trial recently.
Newtown say he can play either on the wing, up front or as a central player.
Shrewsbury Town manager Sam Ricketts said: “It’s really good moves for him. Fumpa is going to go to Newtown and play there which will be great for his development.
“He’s been with us all pre-season which has also been great for his development.
“Good luck to both Fumpa and Cam during their time out on loan.”
Mwandwe is eligible to play for the Zambian national team, through his parents. Last summer he trained with the Zambian U20 national team.
Fumpa could make his competitive debut for Newtown this Saturday when they welcome Cymru South side Ammanford to Latham Park in Round Two of the Nathaniel MG Cup.
Newtown have worked closely with Shrewsbury Town over the last number of years.
Previous loanees at the Mid Wales club from Shrewsbury Town include Callum Roberts, George Hughes and Ryan Sears.
