Bournemouth in discussions to sign Wales international Harry Wilson – reports
Bournemouth are in talks to sign Wales international Harry Wilson.
The 22-year-old had been subject to a number of interest from clubs, but it was Bournemouth who are in pole position to sign him.
Liverpool are prepared to loan him out, after the £25m valuation wasn’t met. The Standard say the Dorset club are hopeful of securing a deal today.
He is expected to travel down South to conclude the deal.
The report further adds that there is no option to buy, but Liverpool are expectant on Wilson featuring regularly for the Premier League side.
The Liverpool Echo says Wilson sees his own long-term future with the six-time Champions League winners.
Wilson was absent in Liverpool’s Community Shield defeat to Manchester City on Sunday but trained at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground on Monday.
He could be seen as a temporary replacement for David Brooks. Wales teammate Brooks, is out for three months after sustaining an ankle injury.
Brooks is not the only Wales international on the South Coast. Chris Mepham, signed from Brentford in January, is another Wales international who plys his trade at the Vitality Stadium/
