Connah’s Quay Nomads: Nomads sign former Liverpool youngster Kris Owens
Connah’s Quay have signed former Liverpool youngster Kris Owens.
The 20-year-old made 12 appearances for the Reds at youth level.
He later joined Bristol Rovers but was released by the League One side.
“I’m made up to sign for Connah’s Quay Nomads! I think it’s a great move for my career and hopefully, I can excel and be an asset to the team,” said Owens.
“I can’t wait to get playing now and be a part of this team.”
Manager Andy Morrison added “We’re delighted to welcome Kris to the club. He has trained with us through pre-season and can play anywhere down the left.
“His attitude and desire to be part of the group shone through and it became a very easy decision to offer him a contract for the coming season.”
Left-back Owens could make his debut this afternoon against Rhyl in Round Two of the Nathaniel MG Cup.
