Bangor City set for new Italian owners – reports
Bangor City are reportedly in line for new owners after a proposed takeover was formally completed.
North Wales outlet ‘The Chronicle’ reports that an Italian businessman has bought the Cymru North side and any announcement is imminent, with the earliest date being tomorrow (Thursday).
The report adds that the unnamed owner is the father of a current Bangor City player, according to a source.
Stephen Vaughan Jnr is expected to stay at the club as manager, once the takeover is completed.
Bangor’s new proposed owner is a millionaire, with plans of restoring the club to their former glory, having been former Cymru Premier champions.
The Italians will take over from Vaughan Sports Management, who had been in charge of the club in June 2016.
Bangor City begin their Cymru North season against Conwy Borough this Saturday (24th August).
