Paris Saint-German have rejected an offer for Neymar from Real Madrid, which reportedly includes Gareth Bale, two other players and cash.
According to newspaper L’Equipe, the French giants have turned down Real’s offer which includes Bale, James Rodríguez, Keylor Navas and €100m.
Bale’s future at the Bernabeu has been under question since Zinedine Zidane – who has not always seen eye to eye with Welshman – returned for a second spell as manager.
The 30-year-old looked set to depart the Spanish club last month to join Chinese outfit Jiangsu Suning, before the deal was sensationally called off by the Madrid board.
And now this latest twist has added yet more doubt to whether or not he will remain with Los Blancos this season.
The transfer window in both France and Spain closes on September 2, which means the clubs have 11 days to negotiate any potential incomings or outgoings.
Bale played 75 minutes in Real’s first game of the new La Liga season, and was a key figure in his side’s 3-1 win away at Celta Vigo.
