This afternoon’s JD Cymru Premier game between Cardiff Metropolitan and Cefn Druids has been postponed after fears of a clash between both team’s kits.
The Archers – currently third in the top flight – wear a maroon-coloured kit for their home games and in away games where necessary.
The Ancients unveiled a brand new red strip for their away games this season, and officials have deemed that the kits are too similar.
The announcement was made by the Cymru Leagues, who posted a short statement on their Twitter account.

The Cefn Druids released a statement following the postponement: “Cefn Druids AFC are disappointed with the outcome of today’s postponement versus Cardiff Met.
“Prior to the fixture, the club had communicated, in all good faith, with all relevant parties, as required. There was no intimation of a potential colour clash until the kit inspection by match officials at Cyncoed.”
Christian Edwards’ side could have moved to the top of the Cymru Premier with a win this afternoon, providing other results went their way.
The Druids had made their second journey to south Wales in as many weeks, having played Barry Town United at Jenner Park last Sunday.
The clash of kits will be a considerable cause of frustration for both sides, due to the fact that the visitors’ home strip is black and white.
NEW DATE: @CardiffMetFC v @CefnDruids will now be played on Saturday November 23rd / Y dyddiad newydd fydd Sadwrn y 23ain o Dachwedd.
