The JD Cymru Leagues Manager and Player of the Month winners for September have been announced, with Caernarfon Town featuring twice.

Cofis boss Sean Eardley was named Cymru Premier Manager of the Month after his team went the entire month unbeaten.

A creditable draw against league leaders Barry Town United was followed by victories against Penybont, Aberystwyth Town and Newtown.

The Oval Park outfit currently find themselves fifth in the standings, and will overtake both The New Saints and Bala Town to go second should they win their game in hand against Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Neil Gibson was unsurprisingly handed the award for the Cymru North after guiding his Prestatyn Town side to a perfect month which saw them win all five of their league games, scoring 21 goals in the process.

The Seasiders have won 10 of their first 11 league games, a run which has helped them to open up an eight-point lead at the top of the table.

In the Cymru South, Ammanford manager Gruff Harrison has been recognised after his team posted a 100% record in September.

The Carmarthenshire side are currently joint top of the league alongside Haverfordwest County, Swansea University and Llanelli Town.

On the playing front, Caernarfon Town’s Leo Smith scooped the prize for the Cymru Premier.

The 21-year-old has been a key part of the Cofis midfield, and found the net against Aberystwyth and Penybont.

Flint Town United marksman Mark Cadwallader was an obvious choice in the Cymru North, after netting seven goals in the month of September.

After scoring the opening goal in the Silkmen’s 3-2 win against Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant on Saturday, Cadwallader took his tally for the league season to 13.

Forward Calum Bateman has created history in becoming the first STM Sports player to receive a Cymru South Player of the Month award.

Bateman found the net six times in September, as the Mellons won three of their four league encounters.
