Defender Ryan Wollacott has left Aberystwyth Town to join Alvechurch.

Wollacott, 24, leaves the Mid Wales club after four seasons.

A brief statement from Wollacott’s new club Alvechurch said: “We are very pleased with this addition, we tried to get the defensive player many times before.

Wollacott tweeted: “I can’t wait to get started,” after making the move to Worcestershire.

He then added: “I loved my time at Aberystwyth, it’s a great club with great fans too.”

The central defender has missed just one Cymru Premier match this season, notching up 10 appearances for Matthew Bishop’s men.

He featured in the Welsh Cup final defeat to the Connah’s Quay Nomads back in 2018.
