Abergavenny Town are on the search for a new manager after Ben Bannon stood down from his role.
Bannon will take to the Pen-y-Pound dugout for the final time in Saturday’s fixture with Dinas Powys.
He could feature for the reserves as a player but will stand back from his role as senior manager of Abergavenny Town.
The hometown manager led Abergavenny to 10th and 5th placed finishes during his time at the club.
From Abergavenny Town’s official website, Bannon announced his departure: “Over the past few weeks has made me realise that unfortunately, I’ve taken this group of players as far as I can.
“A fresh face is needed to rejuvenate the lads and take them forward.
“Having had a great time in charge over the past two and a half seasons it has given me great memories and pleasure in managing my home town team and almost gaining promotion.”
A club spokesman added: “Thank you to Ben for all of his hard work, commitment and determination.
“He has laid foundations from which the club can continue to build on in the months and years ahead.
“He has always had the very best interests of the club at heart, managing with great pride, honour and integrity.”
Any candidate interested in succeeding Bannon has been advised to contact club chairman Rob Francis. The ideal candidate should possess or be working towards a UEFA B Licence. A deadline of November 30 has been set for applications.
The Pennies almost secured promotion to the Cymru South last season but were defeated on the final day of the season by Caerau Ely.
The Monmouthshire club are currently 10th in the Welsh League Division One.
