Nathaniel MG Cup: Latham Park to host Connah’s Quay v STM Sports
Newtown AFC’s Latham Park has been chosen to host the Nathaniel MG Cup Final 2019/20 between Connah’s Quay Nomads and STM Sports.
The final, which will be screened live on S4C, will take place on Saturday 1 February with a 17:15 kick-off.
Connah’s Quay, who currently sit second in the JD Cymru Premier, haven’t featured in the competition’s showpiece event since they ran out 1-0 winners over Ebbw Vale back in 1996.
The Nomads are the league’s only remaining undefeated team this season and their 2-0 win over Bala in Deeside last month secured their first chance of silverware this term.
The Nomads’ opponents, STM Sports, are the competition’s surprise package having reached the final in their first-ever appearance in the competition.
The Cymru South side are no stranger to Latham Park having knocked Newtown out of the competition at the Quarter Final stage.
They claimed another JD Cymru Premier scalp with a 2-1 victory over Aberystwyth in the last-four.
