Aberystwyth Town moved clearer from the drop zone as they defeated Cardiff Metropolitan late on at Cyncoed Campus.
All three goals of the game came in the final fifteen minutes as Met’s regular occurrence of conceding in the final quarter continued.
Kellaway’s winner five minutes from time was the sixth goal Met had conceded in the last fifteen minutes.
Geoff Kellaway cancelled out Eliot Evans’ 75th-minute opener before staking claim to a second with Charlie Corsby’s own goal to be decided by the dubious goal panel.
Aberystwyth ended a three-game winless run in the Cymru Premier with their victory whilst Met tasted their sixth defeat in ten matches.
Cardiff Met had started the game brightly and had a handful of chances to nip infant.
Three times Will Evans had the opportunity to score, firstly hooking a shot over the bar and then heading wide. His third effort was then a well-taken touch which was blocked by Connor Roberts.
Met were controlling how the game was being played as they composed themselves on the ball.
They almost drew first blood but Joel Edwards’ header fell right into Roberts’ arms.
Aberystwyth had a rare opportunity as Marc Williams chased down Will Fuller’s attempted clearance but the Aber captain was unable to capitalise.
Eliot Evans then dragged a shot into Roberts’ hands as Met continued to pepper the Aber goal.
Aberystwyth began to grow into the half on the half-hour mark as Joe Phillips’ attempted shot was blocked by Emlyn Lewis.
Williams then headed into Fuller’s arms after Wes Baynes’ cross.
Neither side could provide the games first goal with Met edging the half.
Met’s first opportunity in the second half fell to captain Bradley Woolridge who went on a solo run but was unable to trouble Roberts.
The game had its much needed moment as Met broke the deadlock to spark the game into life in the final fifteen minutes.
Eliot Evans escaped the challenge of the defenders to strike past Roberts inside the box.
Met proved right in old adage of being vulnerable having scored first as they sloppily conceded an equaliser.
Geoff Kellaway was neatly played in by Aber captain Marc Williams and his low rasping shot cannoned off the post.
Kellaway then turned the game on his head with five minutes remaining.
His cross from the far side was turned into the net unfortunate party Charlie Corsby slid the ball past his own goalkeeper Will Fuller.
Met’s late search for an equaliser proved futile as they were unable to challenge Roberts in stoppage time.
