Albert Stuivenberg: Wales assistant joins Arteta's coaching team
Wales assistant manager Albert Stuivenberg has joined the coaching staff of Arsenal.
Stuivenberg will remain as assistant manager of Wales until after the European Championship in the summer of 2020.
The 49-year-old joined Ryan Giggs’ backroom staff when the Manchester United legend was announced as the manager to succeed Chris Coleman.
He will be joined alongside former Gunners caretaker manager Freddie Ljungberg – the Arsenal star completed his coaching badges with the FAW Trust.
“I am delighted to have this talented group of coaches alongside me. They bring a great mix of experience and fresh thinking,” said Arteta to Arsenal.com after announcing the makeup of his backroom team.
“Along with the talented people we have in the club already they will be key people to get us back to winning ways.”
Arteta – another student of the FAW Trust’s Coaching Education – will begin life in the dugout as Arsenal manager on Boxing Day as the Gunners take on Bournemouth.
