Christian Doidge speaks of desire to play for Wales
Christian Doidge has spoken of his desire to play for the Welsh national team.
The in-form forward has scored seven goals in his last ten Scottish Premiership appearances for Hibernian.
Doidge, 27, headed up North from Forest Green Rovers in a reported £350,000 move in the summer.
“The prospect of playing for Wales was one of the reasons for moving up here,” revealed Doidge to The Scottish Sun.
“I knew I was coming to a better league and playing against better players.
“So with the boys qualifying for the Euros, it would be a dream of mine to play for my country.
“I was one of the lads in the fan zones when they were at the last Euros and nothing would make me prouder to represent my country.”

The former Carmarthen Town forward previously played for Wales in basketball before pursuing a career in professional football.
“I have played for Wales at a European Championships, but it was basketball, not football.
“I was released from Bristol Rovers when I was 15 and I was heartbroken, so I went down another route and took up basketball.
“But it got to the point where I couldn’t really go any further, so I decided to play football again.”
