Wales youngster Elise Hughes has joined Bristol City on loan until the end of the season.

Hughes moves to the Robins from Everton in a move which will see her stay for the remainder of the Women’s Super League campaign.

The 18-year-old has made eight appearances in all competitions this season for the Toffees this season, scoring one goal.

Hughes signed her first professional contract with Everton this summer.

She has since become a regular in the Welsh national team since making her debut in March 2018.

Upon signing the Wales international, manager Tanya Oxtoby said: “We identified the centre forward role as an area we needed to strengthen due to long-term injuries and we feel Elise can add real to the value to the squad and the frontline in particular.

“She’s a young and talented player who has the potential to shine in the Barclays WSL and who impressed me during her performances at international level with Wales.”
