Barry Town United: Dragons sign Merthyr Town midfielder Kyle Patten
Barry Town United have completed the signing of Merthyr Town midfielder Kyle Patten.
Kyle Patten is the elder brother of Keenan and Robbie Paten. He’ll link up with Robbie at Jenner Park.
The 25-year-old spent five years at Merthyr Town following his release from Newport County.
Before joining Newport, Patten was also in Cardiff City’s academy, just like his two brothers.
“Kyle is a versatile player who can play in both defence and midfield. He comes with a good pedigree and background both with Cardiff and Newport,” said manager Gavin Chesterfield to BarryTown.co.uk.
“He has shown a real desire to want to play for our football club and I’m delighted to have him with us.”
Patten made his last appearance for Merthyr on Tuesday evening in a 2-1 defeat to Hayes & Yeading in the Southern League.
