Cefn Druids have appointed Stuart Gelling as their new sporting director.
Gelling has been appointed following the shock departure of Huw Griffiths last Friday.
The 46-year-old moves to the Druids having held a recent role as a scout for the Egyptian FA.
He has also held roles with Liverpool, Getafe, Sunderland and the national teams of Japan and Jordan.
“There were a great deal of applicants for the vacant position of Sporting Director but we felt we have the right man for the current approach the club is taking,” said Druids director Des Williams.
“Stuart’s CV stood out to us as the perfect fit for the club, we are looking at a slightly different model than other clubs and one that has a global approach but with an increased locals dance.
“We are looking to the future and sustainability of the club and developing players through our academy is a vital part of that future.
“Stuart’s knowledge and expertise will help us.
Jayson Starkey will manage the Ancients in their opening fixture of Phase One against Airbus on Friday evening.
Gelling will take charge on February 15 when they host Penybont.
