Andy Morrison has agreed a two-year contract extension with the Connah’s Quay Nomads.
The former Manchester City defender will remain at Deeside Stadium until the end of the 2021/22 season.
Morrison has been with Connah’s Quay for four years where he has overseen their highest Cymru Premier points tally.
He has also won the JD Welsh Cup, a Europa League play-off final and most recently the Nomads’ first Nathaniel MG Cup.
“I’m delighted. Once I knew the club wanted me to stay and carry on the woodwork we’ve done,” said Andy Morrison in an interview with the club.
“It was a very easy decision to make.”
Club owner Gary Dewhurst added: “I am delighted we’ve agreed a two-year extension to Andy’s contract, taking us through to the summer of 2022,”
“Since his appointment in the autumn of 2015, the club has gone from strength to strength, both on and off the field and Andy has demonstrated outstanding leadership, loyalty and conviction during this time.
“Continuity is a crucial element of success in football and with Jay Catton recently extending his contract too, Connah’s Quay Nomads are well placed to face the challenges ahead.”
The Nomads will celebrate Morrison’s new contract with their opening Phase Two fixture against Barry Town United this Saturday.
