Gary Taylor-Fletcher: Former Bangor boss publicly states desire to manage Blackpool
Former Bangor City Gary Taylor-Fletcher has stated his interest in becoming Blackpool manager.
The 38-year-old is the first name to publicly state their desire to succeed Simon Grayson after his departure from Bloomfield Road on Wednesday.
Taylor-Fletcher managed two spells as Bangor City manager, before working with Kevin Nicholson at Nantporth.
He later agreed to manage Llandudno in May 2019 but had to withdraw due to other commitments.
“I’d love to have the chance, I’ve made no secret of it,” said Taylor-Fletcher to The Gazette.
“I want to be back involved in the club in a full-time capacity to help them get back to the Championship and the Premier League.
“If the managerial job is available then I’m not going to shy away from putting my name forward for it.
“But I won’t be the only one and I won’t be the only one that has a good case to get the job.”
Most recently, Taylor-Fletcher was on a two-man shortlist to the Macclesfield Town vacancy, losing out to former Cardiff City defender Mark Kennedy.
He’s stated his openness to work with players from the Tangerines most successful period, when they won the Championship Play-Off final in 2010.
“There are a lot of managers out there and there are a lot of ex-players who are interested in the job who would relish the opportunity to go and play attacking football and give the fans what they want,
“I’d definitely be prepared to work alongside some of those other former players. We’ve all got great experience and a love of the club.”
