Taffs Well 0-3 Cambrian & Clydach Vale: Sky Blues in comprehensive victory over Wellmen
Cambrian & Clydach Vale claimed a comprehensive victory over Taffs Well at Rhiw’r Ddar.
Corey Shephard and Sam Jones scored in the second-half after a wonder strike from in-form Ryan Prosser got the Sky Blues up and running.

Cambrian are unbeaten in their last five now, having only dropped points in one match.
Following Cwmbran Celtic’s 2-1 win over bottom side Caerau Ely, the Wellmen dropped back into the relegation zone.
The first ten minutes of the game saw Cambrian dominating the possession but their attempts were fertile.
Cambrian’s breakthrough came in 12th minute when a nice build up on the left flank found Ryan Prosser who cut in and shot from outside the box with incredible power.
Taffs Well keeper Cael Jones was stunned and the shot went in uncontested.
In the second half of the first period, Cambrian kept the pressure up and had big chances to extend the lead but an acrobatic save from Jones and a misplaced header from Prosser saved Taffs Well’s chances to equalize in the first half.
Taffs Well looked composed defensively during the whole period, but they were failing to create opportunities.
The only big chance for an equaliser came from Helal Albaarini who intercepted a pass in the opposing team’s corner but Carey missed his cross slightly.
Cambrian got the second-half off to a jump start as they attacked aggressively.
Their efforts came to fruition when a corner by Cameron Keetch got deflected and the ball fell straight to Samuel Jones who tapped it into the net.
Cambrian controlled the pace of the game after the second goal so coach Lawrence Badman tried to change with a double substitution which seemed to be working.
Freshly subbed Edidiong Essien was inches from scoring but could not put the ball past Clarke.
Conident with the lead, Cambrian kept the game under controll in the following minutes.
Towards the end of the match, team captain Corey Shephard set the final score with a solo run and superb finish from close range.
