Wales C: Mark Jones names 20-man squad for England C clash

Wales C manager Mark Jones has named a 20-man for the upcoming clash with England C on March 24.

Cymru Premier top scorer Chris Venables is amongst the squad, along with stalwart Aeron Edwards. 

Barry Town United and Cardiff Metropolitan make up half of the squad, with five players included from each South Walian side.

Dylan Rees, Eliot Evans, Emlyn Lewis and Joel Edwards are all recalled to the squad, having been included the last time.

They will be joined by frontman Will Evans who has seven goals in 23 appearances for the Archers.

With the game taking place at The Oval, three Caernarfon Town players; Alex Ramsay, Darren Thomas and Leo Smith have been called up. 

Connah’s Quay Nomads – current leaders of the Cymru Premier – will send Callum Roberts to represent them. 

Eight-time champions, The New Saints have Aeron Edwards involved, whilst loanee Connor Roberts is also included. 

Nathan Peate is the sole representative of the Cefn Druids. 

Lee Jenkins and Barry’s Evan Press will be Jonah’s designated two young players, who will gain experience from the international setup. 

Airbus, Carmarthen Town and Newtown have no representation in the squad. 

There is also no place for Henry Jones, Danny Brookwell and Liam Thomas, who all featured in last years match.
