Domenico Serafino donates £5k to Ysbyty Gwynedd’s Intensive Care Unit
Bangor City club president Domenico Serafino has donated £5,000 to the Ysbyty Gwynedd’s Intensive Care Unit.
President Domenico Serafino got involved with Bangor City through his son, who plays for the first-team.
And now Domenico is helping the local community as NHS staff work towards fighting the COVID-19 outbreak.
Awyr Las – The North Wales NHS Charity announced on Facebook that the Italian was making the donation.
After making the kind gesture, Serafino said: “I want to support the Intensive Care Unit in Bangor’s Ysbyty Gwynedd now because I really care about the community here.
“I can see what has happened in Italy, and I want to help the patients and staff in the only way I can.
“It’s my way of trying to keep a wonderful community, which is very dear to my family’s heart, strong.”
Katherine Evans, the sister on Cybi Ward, showed her thanks to Serafino for his donation:“Acts of kindness and compassion like this really help the staff on the ward feel appreciated and valued.
“More importantly, the money raised will help us to give the very best care possible for our patients.
“Whilst the NHS is putting huge additional resource into our operations, this extremely generous donation will greatly help us to provide the additional items and extra support needed that goes over and above what the NHS can provide.
“This donation will really make a difference.
“We’re all so grateful here on the ward. Thank you Domenico!”
