Pontypridd Town: Steve Savage appointed Director of Football
Steve Savage has been appointed as Director of Football at Pontypridd Town.
Savage, a UEFA B Licence holder, will work closely with manager Jonathan Jones, a fellow University of South Wales employee.
The pair will work on a whole host of aspects of the club including player and staff recruitment along with the younger aged sides.
Savage oversaw Pontypridd Town’s return to the USW Sport Park during his role spent as Sport and Business Development Manager at the university.
‘I am delighted to be given the opportunity to formally work with Pontypridd Town AFC as their new Director of Football,” said Savage to Pontypridd Town’s official website.
“I believe I have skills, knowledge and experience to help the club with its desire to keep progressing on and off the pitch.
“I will oversee all aspects of football related activities at the club from supporting the manager with recruitment of players and helping with any support he or his staff may require relating to first team matters.
“I will continue to grow the impressive juniors section for the boys & girls in our area and will be working closely with the board to ensure the club is able to achieve its medium to long term vision.”
